Claim Iron deficiency is the leading nutritional disorder in the world, and can cause anemia - leading to weakness, fatigue, and gastrointestinal difficulties. Ortho Iron(TM) helps to prevent iron deficiency, helps to prevent iron deficiency anaemia and associated tiredness and fatigue. Iron helps pregnant women meet (the) (Health Canada's) recommended intake for iron, when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet. Copper helps to produce and repair connective tissue; helps form red blood cells and helps to maintain normal iron transport in the body. Folate helps to form red blood cells and helps prevent folate deficiency. Folate helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily at least three months prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy. Helps to support normal early fetal development (brain and spinal cord). Vitamin C helps (to) maintain / support immune function.
