6 Ingredient Pantry Pasta

 Ingredients:

 

85 grams of fettuccine 

5 cloves garlic, sliced thinly

Pinch of chili pepper flakes

1 handful parsley, rough chop 

¼ cup olive oil 

¼ cup parmesan cheese 

Salt to season

 

 

Instructions:

 

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.  Once it comes up to a rapid boil add your pasta. Cook as per directions on the package.

Place a frying pan on a med low heat and add the olive oil and garlic to the pan. Let this simmer for 5 minutes until the garlic becomes light brown. Be careful not to burn as it will make the garlic very bitter. Add in the chili flakes and place aside.

Once pasta is cooked, save a ¼ cup of pasta water before draining the pasta. This will be used to help make the sauce for the dish. Drain the pasta and add back to the pot. 

Pour in the garlic oil and the pasta water in the pot with the pasta and mix until it comes together and makes a sauce. 

Add in the cheese and parsley and tossed until combined. 

Season with salt and serve hot.
